Aleph from Taiwan
1. modifying Creative 52X CDROM in to cd player
2. replacing the oscillator of Creative 52X with low-jitter(1.0ppm) TCXO
3. re-clock the digital signal output circuit
4. self-made Digital Signal Isolation Exciter (integrated into the Creative52X-based CD player)
5. modified Digital Signal Isolation Exciter
6. re-clocking DAC
7. modifying Denon DCD-2560G
8. Balanced Zen Line Stage (this is the second BOSOZ this guy has ever built. The FIRST ONE is also marvelous.
9. the Aleph series
And, last of all, as a friend of him, I would rather say "Aleph from Taiwan" instead of "Aleph from China". 🙂

Aleph 1.2
I just finished my Aleph 1.2s few hours ago. It is a hard work but deserving. The diy Aleph 1.2s has more bass control than my another diy Aleph 2s per my first listening. I love this extreme machine.
Thank you Mr. PASS shared such good stuffs with DIYers.

the cd player
PRBS,
great looking Aleph but I have a question about an other project.
The CD-rom player:
Did you make any adjustments to the player because I disassemble 2 old players and the don't start the CD or laser or whatsoever. Or is the Infra52 capable of player stand alone and others not

Re: the cd player
You can use any CD-ROM as a stand alone player. Did you put a disc clamp when you play? There is a disc clamp inside CD-ROM.

Yes, the digital output of CD-ROM is SPDIF format.
You may try this for diy player. There are many hi-end auido manufacturers using this module as a heart of CD player. http://www.daisy-laser.nl/homeoptics/
