Yeah you don't want an early XA amp, my comments specifically relate to XA .8 series.
I don't see the other amps as an upgrade from the Aleph 1.2.
Even then you still may prefer the Aleph 1.2 to an XA .8 amp, although I personally think you would love an XA60.8

I attempted to buy an XA60.5 last year. It turned out to be a scam. Fortunately, EBay refunded the money. So I've thought about it...
