Goodmorning or is it still night!
I want to check if my irfp240 and irf9610 are still working, how will I do that? Is the only way by matching? Greetings Teake.

Hi there
After some days af absentence, I strarted again measuring.
On the 3 irf9610 i got 3,8V, between g and s, on Q18-20 I got 3.3V, I can,t measure any voltage on Z5. On Q6-8 I also can,t measure any voltage, on R17 I got 27V and on R18 I got 8,4V. I can,t measure anything on Q5. Is it possible that I turned C7 the wrong way, or does it not mather how to put these?

you should have 9.1v across z5. If you don't either the zener must be shorted, or r13 is open or r13 isn't to ground or a number of other reasons...
I would start with z5, without that reference the circuit doesn't work..in my limited experience.
Hi there!
Is it possible that I got wrong grounding. I put the ground from the pcb to floating ground, wich I connected to chassis ground. On the same floating-star ground, I got my tap, speaker- and psugrounding. I also got ACground connected to the same chassis ground. Is it possible that I have to put the pcbground straight to chassis ground? Thanks Teake.

As long as you have all of the grounds to the same potential..<ground>...directly or indirectly..the circuit should work. Exactly how it is done may or may not give you buzz etc.
Keep at it. Once you get one going you will be an
expert
OH...and it's worth it

Hi there!
Now I got something. I got 8,9V on Z5, 4,9V on R11, 3,8V on Q3, 3,3V on R14, 3,3V Q4 and 3,3V on Q18-20, that"s the incoming minus side.
I got nothing on Q6-8. Nothing on Q5. Where should I start measuring on the incoming plus side, or why no signal here? Greetings Teake.

Hi again!
Should I also measure something on R64-66, on R16, on R40-42, because I can't, and on the scedule of Nelson Pass there is some 5V between them. On R17 I measure 27,6V, on R18 8,6V and on R19 8,6V and than it stops. Is 3,3V anough for the 240's or does it have to be exactly 4-5V? Some questions hé!
Teake.

There should be ~.5v across the sourse resistors. Do you have DC at the output? if so You could have a bad irf9610 messing the whole thing up.
He MPMarino
How the output, do you mean the speakersoutput? I got on that -0.05 when the amplifier is on ac, when I put the amplifier out I am getting after 5 minutes -5V on the speakeroutput. On the sourceresistors I get 0,2V. And again on al the 9610 I get 3,8V when the amplifier is on.

Well, You've got me totally confused. One minute you have nothing across z5, the next minute you do. Then you have nothing on your source resistors...then you do. I can't follow - You need a real expert.
Hi MPMarino!
Because I got not the original pass pcb but one from KK I measured wrong, the numbers are not the same, and from the pass schematics I got 8,9V on Z5, 4,9V on R11, 3,8V on Q1-3, 3,3V on R14, 3,3V on Q4 and 3,3V on Q18-20. Speakeroutput amp on 0,05V, amp out -3,5V, sourceresistors R64-66 0,01V, 0,05V on Q5, 27V on R17, 8,6V on R18, 8,6V on R19. Nothing on the sourceresistors R40-42. On the psu rails I got plus/minus 35,8V That's it, I can't get more out of it. Teake.

Goodmorning/evening!
I fergot to say that I got now 0,05V on Q6-8.
Is there anybody out there who can help me please, what should I do
😕
Or is it that I'm nog good measuring. Its my first experiance with electronics. And I want to do it myself. Greetings Teake.

Teake,
As a starter, let’s forget the AC measurements for now.
Until the amp works, only DC values are important
Also, when you say for example ‘3,8V on Q1-3’ I can only guess what you measured. Is that 3.8V with respect to ground? Measured from gate to source or drain to source or…? When talking about amplifier output it is in this case referred to as speaker terminal with respect to ground. ‘Speakeroutput amp on 0,05V, amp out -3,5V’ is not clear to me.
From what you write I would presume that the current source and differential pair (Q1, Q2, and Q3) are working.
Check if Q5 is wired correctly. What transistor did you use?
/Hugo 🙂

Hi Hugo Thanks for helping me!
I got 3,8V between G and S on Q1-3. I mean with on, that i got the amplifier on AC main ON, and the -3,5 is when I got no AC, then the amplifier is out. For Q5 I used a BC550. On that transistor it exactly tells you how to put them on KK's board. It,s with the flat side toward to the inside of the board, not to the edge. I will check the wires again. Thanks again!
