Diyers,
I'm wondering what substitute mosfets are available that can be used in the Aleph 5. Also, what changes (if any) would need to be made to the circuit if I were to use them? What about the:
IRFP240, IRFP250, IRFP140N, IRFP250, etc
What substitutions can be used in the driver stage also?
What do I need to look for when choosing a substitution, other than power dissipation, voltage and current ratings? Obviously, I want it to sound good too, so I will order the correct devices from overseas if I really have to. However, the ones listed above are available locally, making them quite desirable. I will pay more for devices locally available. Any advice would be fantastic.
Cheers,
Greg.

Any of those will work. the 150 and 250 are pretty
big chips, with enough heat sinking you can use 1/2 as
many as 240's.
All sorts of p channel mosfets will work for the front end,
from ZVP3310's up to IRFP9240. The 9240 is not recommended,
though.
