Ok, never knew that. Always used x1.4142 . Is it ok to use a 22v? Got two from a old project. Maybe could re-use them?
You are right but, the peak voltage is the square root of 2, but you gonna have high current (2Amp per rail) cause is class A.
Am I wrong gentlemen?
Anyway regards for everybody.

I will post a thread on the latest thinking about this circuit in a day or less.
Wonderful! Looking forward to it.

So in short, i need to mutiply the voltage bij 1.2 with a class A amp? (language barrier haha)
If i understand correctly it is because of the constant current draw of the amp?
Would it be possible to use a transformer with 20v or 22v windings? Can not get a 21v overhere.
22x1.2 would be 26.4v...to high? (using chokes etc. in power supply)

you're ok with anything from 18 to 24Vac , for Aleph 3/30/whatever
more voltage , bigger number after Aleph
more voltage , bigger number after Aleph

More voltage more power, across the load. The better the more?
Looking for the sweet point, which is better?

The supply voltage, within a few volts, wont really affect the performance, the bias current will.
The higher you go with supply and bias the hotter the amp will run requiring much bigger heatsinks.
If you compare the Alephs you will see increasing numbers of output MOS-FETs to accommodate increasing rail voltage, bias and output power.

Thanks venerable friends, Dr Hal say that we can find the sweet point with each component. In this case with the A3 is possible to establish which is this point where the distortion going down by a 90% factor. I am intrigued with the original article and probably this point that anybody look for maybe some of us could know or could determinate in their bench.
Does a Aleph 3 need speaker protection?
If so, does anybody can ggive me advise wich i should buy for monoblock's?

I guess so, cause if the unbalance between the CSS and the Fet is big, DC start to be in the speaker terminal
Get pot of double (or close) resistor value. Connect it as a variable resistor (solder wiper to one leg) place instead of resistor.
I get it 6L6. But that was not the question i asked. But, if i should need it is will keep this in mind. thanks
My question was: Does the aleph 3 need speaker protection. And if so, what would be the best to use.
I see DIY has a own board as well.
