In the aleph3's manual is written the peak power on 2 ohm :120 watt.
On stereophile the graphic is that an aleph3 give 32.8 on 8 ohm
55.8 on 4 ohm and 40.. on 2 ohm.
Ok but this is with a sinusoidal signal but what is the power impulsive on 2-4-8 ohm
it's because in the manual is written that the max output is 8 amp and 23 volt.
I can understand (but I know that is not so) the aleph3 give with an impulsive signal

Hi,
there is nothing like dynamic power or peak power with an Aleph. Max. power is only determined by the bias current, the current gain setting and the voltage.
There´s a spreadsheet for the Aleph where you can set these and calculate the aprox. power output into different loads. Here you can see the effects of different voltages, bias currents etc.
Can´t find it at the moment but I think it was called Aleph-power.xls or something like that.

When the speakers have low impedance, the max current is matter.
A3 has current limit of about +/-8A. I.e. Power = (8/1.4)^2*2 = 65W. But, considering maximum reasonable distortion of 1%, the max power @2ohms could be 60W.
The service manual says 60W@2ohms.
If Stereophile say 40W@2ohms, they might have considered at a bit lower distortion level.
In the similar way considering voltage, current, impedance and the distortion level, the same manual says 60W@4ohms.
