Wow, that was unexpected! What if the bottom of the amp is ventilated as well as the heatsinks (holes)? Will it be that bad?

Hello there Gabster, you need to get air moving across the fins somehow. Two ways I know of are forced air cooling or thermo dynamic methods such as the chimney effect. On the plus side with it laying flat like that, the frying pan will heat evenly. 🙂

I cheked with the supplier and says he can cast on Cu.

Aprox cost per Lb would be $4.00

Take in consideration that Cu weigh 3.3 times more than alu.
