I have just finished a couple of Aleph 2s and I wonder if I am safe with a top heatsink temp of 56 degrees ? Temperature in my test room is 25 degrees.
thanks for feedback . I would be interested to know if some of you got temp failures on power mosfets, and how long it took to get failure since the amp was built vs heatsink temp.

My Aleph 4 is running for 1 year now with a heatsink temperature of 61 celcius at about 22 room temperature! NO problem!

Borbely runs some of his as high as 70 C. You should be fine where you're at for quite a long time.
Have you never heard the famous Nelson Pass's Rap song?

Well let's see if your temperature calibration nomenclature
matches mine:
Blimey hot is 10 seconds hands on = 45 deg C.
Crikey hot is 5 seconds = 50 deg C.
Bloody hot is 2 seconds = 55 deg C.
X*?@! is 60 deg C.
All of these are within an acceptable range, although
X*?@! is reserved for the more mature constructor.

The room temperature is 26 degrees
Still safe ??

I think 58 still safe. BUt if You want lower temperature use fan. I used a common PC psu cooling fan. 80*80*25mm, and 12V. If You use with 6-8V instead of 12 it will gives enough air, to cool down Your heatsink with some 10-15 degree, and the noise is absolutely tero!
