Akido help pls

I am about to start a build of the akido A.I.O. 9 pin. It will be used for a linestage amp. My system uses three t amps ( all 2024) and the mini dsp.I would really appreciate a bit of direction on which combination of tubes I should use for this set up. I have high eff. speakers so I dont need tons of gain but I would like to add a touch more warmth if I could. Also if there is a link available to a build using the suggested tubes that would also be a great help.

Go for the lowest gain possible. It sounds incredibly good with my 41hz amp but as you annouced, mine has gain in the range +25dB and is absolutely too high not enabling best use of volume control !

Thanks. I will look at some gain figures and see what combination I come up with.

The 12au7 looks like it is on the lower end of the gain scale and I happen to have some on hand. Im wondering if there is any disadvantage to using the same tube at the input and output position. I noctice all the examples in the manual use different tubes for in and output.
