One AK4490 DAC with differential shield on the way! Looking forward to experience the difference between my TPA BIIISE and the AK4490.
If I like it I will probably order the pre-amp too but only after the firmware has been modified so one can use volume-balance too.

If you have an Company or live outside EU you Can remove 20% (Danish VAT)
Hi Sonnya, does this apply to the dac as well?
The tax law In Denmark is very unclear about Selling to private people. So every single order to private people i have paid Danish VAT on.
If you own a Company it is a whole other case, but Then i need an Tax/VAT ID.

Sonny, can you tell which type connectors are used on the dac with balanced shield? So I can order them before the dac arrives...

He should send you some with the DAC, but check out post 649. I have links to them there. You may want to go with gold plated phosphor bronze conductors instead.
I am working hard on getting the New dac mainboard done.
But you have give me some line, because the chassis and other work takes more time than anticipated....
But the plan is to get it shipped with an week.. I know i said monday, but time is just flying away ..
The DAC board will have 1 SPDIF RCA, 1 Optical RCA, 1 I2S interface.
It will run through an SRC4392 from TI. The SRC does not accept DoP.
So to get DoP or native DSD you will have to use the USB interface for it.
The DAC board with the extra inputs and SRC will be approx. 100€ more expensive...

I have using the dac about 50 hours now and think it sounds promising good.I use now a Meanwell MW RT-65C as a power supply, but plan to try a toroidal transformer with the TPS7A4700 regulator power boards.
Hi Press57.
Saw in another thread that you have bought some low noise regulators.
TPS7A4700 low noise LDO regulator PCB.
Have you tried these in your DAC ???
Yes have been using these since July.Compared to the Meanwell supply, power with the regulator boards are clear step up in sound quantitatively and qualitatively.I still haven´t used the sense connection with the boards and the toroids are cheap ones,so there is maybe some improvement still available.
Hi Sonnya,
I've been watching the development of your dac with interest, what currency is your pricing in. Danish Krone ?
