Hi, I just replaced the laser module on an aiwa xc005.
(A kss150a module was replaced with a kss210b)
It seems to have cured the skipping but it is now a bit intermittent when play is pressed right after a disk is inserted.
Once it has started playing there are no obvious faults. Tracks can then be selected without any problems.
Does someone recognise this fault ?
Is there some adjustment I should make after fitting a new laser (I have 'scope / meters etc) ?
I did have a trawl on the web but not much info was forthcoming.
The pots on the main board are helpfully labelled so some generic advice would be helpful
