During the past year I've acquired a pair of Airborne FR222B8-19F full range drivers. These wood pulp cone drivers are massive (3950g each) and almost 222mm (8.7 inches) diameter. But they have a relatively low Qts of 0.351 and a Xmax of 1mm so you are talking some kind of horn enclosure. You can view these spec sheet at:

A Google search reveals little info on DIY projects using this driver. I'm wondering if anyone may have plowed this ground before me or am I the only person in the world who owns these drivers? Any links on how others may have used these drivers?

Cal won a pair of smaller ones at last month's diyFEST. They look to be made by the same OEM as the Audio Nirvana.

I won mine at a DIY speaker event also. I guess that Solen can not sell any of them so they give them away for the DIY community.

That huge hole in the FR response between 3 & 10k wouldn't have anything to do with it? Not terribly efficient either. Cool looking drivers thou.
