Just wondering if anyone can link me to anywheres that talks about the different ways people fire their subs. I'm kinda interested on finding out how a sub reacts when being down fired at the floor as oppsed to firing it at the wall. Thanks.

Forgot to mention my room is 12ft x 12ft with a slanted ceiling with the high point being 10f and the low point being 8ft.
If it's firing at the wall at the same distance as it's firing at the floor, then it's the same reaction. Some people don't like downfiring because there's a chance of weakening the suspension over time.
So I guess its just personal preference then.simon5 said:If it's firing at the wall at the same distance as it's firing at the floor, then it's the same reaction. Some people don't like downfiring because there's a chance of weakening the suspension over time.
Yes, some prefer invisible drivers to do tables or something and the driver is well protected. Some prefer to see the work done...
Also, when the driver is downfiring, the enclosure doesn't attempt to run across the floor because the vibration is up and down instead of back and forth.
