I found this lens adapter that I think could convert a typical copy lens to cover a 17" or 19" LCD. This is not a standard lens in that it is afocal. This means it takes parallel rays and outputs parallel rays. It compresses the view without going fisheye. It is .5X taking in 130 degrees

I put a post about this on LL today. Its too expensive though. There are other afocal lenses about and an adapter to put a camera on a telescope should be afocal. I would really like to use the new samsung 1000:1 or 1500:1 contrast 17" lcd. I think this type of lens would make my copy lens cover that LCD!
