All other things being equal bigger resistors "should" sound better. May I suggest the 1W for critical positions even if you do not need the dissipation. PRP appear to be Charles Hansen's favourite low cost resistors, btw.

It does make one wonder about the use of LCR equalizers, interstage and output transformers, TVCs, and many other contradictory fashion statements. Not to mention tubes, which are chock full of magnetic stuff.

Might exactly be one good reason to avoid magnetic resistors
PRP resistors are metal film while Takman resistors are carbon film.
Takman are available both as carbon film and metal film
