Hello,
I'm designing a converter from AES3 and SPDIF to I2S. It will be used for measurement/testing.
At the moment I am wondering what is the best solution to do an input selection between AES3, SPDIF coax. and SPDIF opt.
In my design, I use the CS8414 which has differenmtial inputs.
What about relays?
The input of the chip is compatible to RS422. Is there somthing like a RS422-Mux or -Switch that can be used?
Any experiances out there?
It is important that the input selection circuit has low influene to signal performance.
Thank you for help,
Greetings,
Arne

Use latching relays. Power is only used for switching, so the coil is not inducing anything into the signal.
