I tried some different things to reduce screen door effect and pixelation. At the moment I have 7" TFT wide screen lcd screen and ancient lcd projector ( with 300x200 !! pixels lol I am watching pixels only)

Anyways, here are my experiences / advises;

1) If you' re using a low res mobile lcd tv there is a sharpness setting in osd menu. When you decrease the sharpness, pixelation will be decreasing dramatically. It' s kinda like full screen anti aliasing option... Yes you will lose some sharpness at the same time but it is not noticeable at the wall lol🙂) After this, you will have very smooth picture, and -very- acceptable sharpness / contrast ratio.

2) This will reduce screen door effect too. You know the most obvious way is " DEFOCUS " to reduce the screen door effect. But it is not that effective like option " 1 "... Actually, I / you know the exact solution is high resolution lcd panel to reduce the screen door effect but high res lcd panel is very hard to find. ( especially in third world countries...)

3) A grey / aluminium color would be nice for a screen. This will a bit reduce screen door effect too.

Screen door is also a lot less noticeable if you keep your projection reasonably sized in proportion to the panel. At about 70 - 80" it's not that bad at all. At 100" it becomes noticeable, but is still very watchable. I have been using mine at 100 for a few months now, and I don't mind the slight pixelation.
