Hi Volvo, thanks for sharing your item. If you do a replacement board for the Knight KB85 amp. I would get 2 of them. They are a nightmare to replace parts because the traces are so delicate.
Is trace peeling a widespread problem with the KB85s? I can easily draw new layout artwork if there is enough of a need out there.
I would think it is just as bad as on every other amp that used the phenolic boards from circa 1960. I have read of other users who had issues with the board. In my case the trace was broken and i had to solder a piece of bare wire across it to make a connection. That experience was not pleasant, dealing with that wisp of metal trace. So, i decided to cut my losses and decided to not change the coupling caps or any other parts on the circuit board for fear of tearing or lifting another trace.
