Hi🙂 I know there are some other threads on this but they were kind of old so I though I would start a new one, I hope that was okay... I'm trying to build a projector, I'm going to buy a Sharp QA-1650 lcd panel, but I really have no idea as to what overhead projector I need to buy. I really don't have alot of money to spend on it, but want it to be a good one. Any suggestions?

Thanks alot,
Nathan

Try searching for ads in local papers and on internet for people selling near you. Try talking to your friends or lokal school , they might have someone sitting in the basement. I dont know what is a good or a bad type of overheadprojector but I would have bought a newer looking one. Then I higly recomend you change the original lighting set up in the OHP to a MH lamp because a normal OHP lamp has a yellowish light and only last for around 50-100h. The MH lamp have a running time of around 12 000 h so It will be cheaper in the end.

I've seen a lot of overheads on e-bay, but I didn't know if the brands or models mattered...

Well i depends what you want from it really,if you want to use it as it comes with the lights, lenses as standard then it definately matters - that way you're looking for a triplet lens and a 4000 lumen output really (or so is the consensus)

But if course if certain bits are going to be replaced then those bits dont matter
