I'm lucky to have bought a used Thorens TD124 almost two decades ago. However, it was used quite a bit by its previous owner, and now is in need of a rebuild/lube. The table holds speed well, but it does add rumble to the audio when playing records.
I'd try to refurbish it myself, but I don't trust myself with delicate bearings, disassemby/reassembly of motors and fiddly moving parts, etc.
So I'm hoping someone here can recommend a good tech or shop located within a day's driving distance of NYC that would rebuild my TD124 for me.
