Advice on upgrading my car system.

Hi all,

I have the following car system and wish to have some advice on upgrading it.

JBL LCA304 4 channel amp
Poweracoustik component tweeters
EKO mid range 4inch on side doors
Sony Fullrange 6x9
Rodek 2way passive crossovers
Sony CDX3700 HUD

Using all normal cheap speaker cables. RCA has been upgraded to Straightwire Encore II.

You could always add a subwoofer...... for some people 6x9s dont make enough bass..


but still I dont think this post belongs to the solid state forum.. anyway..

Adding a sub means
1. New amp?
2. Sub of at least 10inch?

hmm... lots of saving to do.. ke ke

Will using a home surround speaker cables, which are better in quality to those in the car, help much? I know it did make a difference at home but not sure about car acoustics.

Better cables than the stock ones in a car are always recomended.

I'd use 14 gauge atleast for the 6x9's.

Yhea, you would need something like a mono amp for your woofer, and normaly 10" is more than enough.
