Advantage to constant current draw from power supply?

I've been playing with a circuit that keeps the current drawn from the power supply constant in an SE amp. Sims show that it eliminates the ac signal currents from the filter capacitors and resistors (simple RC type supply). Just wondering if there is any real world benefits to such an approach.

exactly what you noted - shunt regulation is an effective way of removing ripple
