ADS Driver replaements

I searched and found nothing so now I'm asking for help. The woofers in my revered A/D/S L200 speakers have died. One about 4 months ago and the other last week. I took them apart, disconnected them from the x-over nets and they are measuring shorted. Near zero R across the terminals.

So, does anyone know:

what a good replacement would be
or
where a real OEM replacement can be found
or
what the T/S parameters are for the original woofer

Many thanks in advance for any help that can be offered.

try parts-express.com for possible woofer replacements or speaker replacements in the diy kit section.

Thanks for the quick reply but before checking PE I need to know the electrical and acoustic properties of the blown drivers. I know who the sources for drivers are. That's not my problem. What I'm hoping for is someone that might know of a properly functional replacement.

i looked up the ADS l200 and didn't find out much about it.

you can search ads l200 specs and try to match the driver size/specs or just the size or replace the speaker altogether.

Thanks Drummer2005. I called Human Speakers. He said nothing is available that he knows of and he did not have the specs for the drivers. He said for something this old the best bet would be to find some complete used systems to replace the bad ones. I may do that but I'd still rather repair than replace, if possible.

I think those were Braun drivers. For vintage replacements that are similar in build/sound/quality, look for paper/rubber drivers from Braun or heco. Similar drivers could be found in speakers by Braun, Visonik, even Alphasonik 4 ohm drivers for auto. I used to have parameters for A/D/S 7" and 10" drivers when the L200's were still current, but I don't think I had any for the 4"/5" drivers. I'll see if I still have them, but it may be the weekend before I can look around.
