I have a Pioneer TX-9500II with a minor problem, the tuning meter doesn't seem to show centre frequency. With max signal read the tuning meter show offset fq. Have the SM but I stumble at ones at "output to 80dB" my signal generator only have dBm or dBuV (50Ω). Is there a way to convert dB to dBm/dBuV?
No, there is not. dB is a relative measurement without any reference. dBm and dBuV are relative measurements with a specific reference using the dB scale
The dBm is referenced to 1mW across a 600 Ohm load, the dBuV would be referenced as dB (gain/loss) against a uV referene (in this case an RF/IF signal)
dB by itself is not referenced to anything

Oops. I have to correct myself. In the dark days of electronics the dB was referenced to 1.73 Volts across 500 Ohms, equalling 0.006 Watts. E
