"I have to tear into mine before, I can give you any more information. I will try to get into it later today... if I am allowed."

Thanks, but I completely understand if you choose not to do this. I would hate if anything got messed upped with your functioning setup. I am certain I will get to the bottom of this without you having to do that.

I finally managed to fix both the lead-in and lead-out. Problem was that I had to put the black plate as far back as possible, to make the lead-in come as close to target as possible. This made it so that the optic sensor didnt reach the hole in the plate at the end of the record for the return function to engage.

The eccentric adjustment pins didnt do enough, the closest I got was about 15mm from target. The solution was actually very simple. I took a small rubber wheel and placed it on the lead-in pin that pushes the white plastic quarter circle thing. This made the lead-in reach the target and beyond. So I moved the black plate a little forward again, fixing the return problem, and finally fine adjusted lead-in with the eccentric pins. Everything works perfect now🙂

I am sorry that I did not get back to you on this. I had some other pressing things on my plate here. Also a local hot shot audiophile is coming over to have his doors blown off at the end of the week, and I just didn't want to disassemble my TT right now.

I have a very nice system using the 289 and a Koetsu that sounds fabulous on it. Many say I am nuts to use such a fine cart on it.... that I can't hear all the cart can do. I have had many TTs that were suppose to be better, and better arms. The purity of sound I get off this thing I paid $40 for with a Denon 103 on it, is shocking. Do keep in mind that you need a GOOD recording too.

Feedback is the biggest weak point, if you listen at high levels. I am glad you got yours going. I will say that I still think that something is moving in the linkage. Time will tell for sure. Cart alinement is very important, to get the most out of a cart. The fancier styli are more critical.
