Absorbing added mass... And I will go fourter, and add felt strips covering ONE millimeter of the Mylars edge all over the diaphgrams edge, where it is in contact with the frame. Like in ribbon tweeters, where tis covers the area where the ribbons yelds and sound harsh.

you could use bitumen for the front. to dampen it. but im not sure if it makes that much of a diference. i know there pole piece are wobly, but still , might have to try one day if it really helps. get the measuring mic ready!
