TONE CONTROL SEQUEL

Cadman,

The only info I had at the time of writing was "a GG preamp"...

So,I'm sorry to say that wasn't much and that is precisely why I said:
I doubt it.

If the transformer is hefty enough and you want to build it that way than that's fine by me.

You're not overlooking anything really, but I'm a bit worried about sound degradation of that lovely preamp.
It's all yours of course.😉

Cheers,😎

One Last Question

I just want to say thanks to everyone who's contributed, you guys have helped me a lot. I've settled on the headwize ckt- not too basic, not overly complex, and allows midrange adjustment.

Just one last question- can I just feed this with the preamp and run the output to the power amp? I.E. treat it like an outboard piece of equipment? Or will it need to be integrated mid-ckt?

Hey Brett, It's for a domestic stereo. The schem is on the first page of the thread.

Cool. There was nothing specific about domestic or instrument use (or maybe I missed it because I was tired), and if it was to be for instruments, I was going to suggest the Tone Stack Calulator at Duncan Amps.

Cheers
Brett
