hello all, first of all I am a complete novice when it comes to car stereo's, amps etc..so with that said....I am attempting to install an 800 watt 2 channel amp along with dual subwoofers. I pulled out my sc811 and in reading the installation manual of my new amp.. I am a bit confussed. There are no rca connectors in the back of my head unit to plug the signal and remote on cables into....There is a 14 pin connectoer and a 10 pin connector side by side..along with a cd connection(cd cable is plugged in but no cd changer exist in trunk)..there is a antenna connection and a circular 7 pin connection that says "AMP"...however this plug had nothing connected to it. This is a volvo 960 1996...please help!!😕
So, the SC811 is the factory head unit, correct?
I don't know much about Volvo stereo systems, but I don't think you'll find RCA preamp outputs on many factory stereo systems. That signal might be available out of the "AMP" connection - but you'd need the wiring harness for "AMP" to tap into that signal. There are people on the internet talking about the SC811. Do some more searching and reading, I am sure you'll be able to get your new amplifier hooked up properly.

thank you....i found a wire schem of the 14 pin and 10 pin connectors and i am planning on splicing into the "power out" wire for the antenna...and using that as my remote turn on.....and my amp has a harness connection for my high crossovers so I can use that instead of rca...i hope..will keep u all posted...thanks again!
