Is it possible to add a pre out on a Denon PMA-1080R?
I've got the scematics:
1080R manual http://gupl.dk/706298/ Click on "Klik her for at downloade filen" and download.
1060 manual http://gupl.dk/706299/ Click on "Klik her for at downloade filen" and download. (Im from Denmark, Danish upload site.)
I have tried to compare with a 1060 with pre out, and it seems like the pre out is just before the Power AMP (they are much similar, page 12 in 1060 and page 10 in 1080R file) but I'cant find it in schematics.. I think something is missing in the schematics..
I hope you can help me, and sorry for my English.. 🙂
Btw.. I don't want another amplifier. So if I can't add a pre out, I will live without it.. ^^ My dream is just to have the opportunity to connect a POA-2200 with a 1080r..

I got your PM, but will answer here. The volume control is immediately before the FET differential amp (first stage of the pwr amp). Output impedance can't be very good, and will change with the setting of the volume control. Would need a buffer between the volume control and the first amp stage.
Half of the schematic is missing on the 1060 manual, so I can't say how or where they tapped the signal, but it seems unlikely that they ran the output of the volume to the back panel.
