Just pull trigger on a pecan pi dac board (using ASR code)
Has anyone added a screen and how easy was it to implement? I'm not great with downloading stuff. Looking at 7" touchscreen from pihut, altho any small screen will do if it's easier. Hopefully it can run off same ifi power supply

What model RPi are you connecting your DAC to?
Adding a screen is relatively straightforward, the complexity really depends on which OS you'll be running.
I'd suggest using a screen which uses the DSI interface, as these are pretty much plug'n'play. THe original RPi 7" screen uses this interface, but you can get 3.5", 4.3" and 5" versions from Waveshare.
