Add audio interface to Marshall Valvestate power amp

Hello,

I am thinking of connecting the Out line from an audio interface to the power-amp with phone jacks to be able to chose between build-in pre-amp or the external interface.
Has anyone tried this?

Could this create any problem?
Do I need to build any input filter?

That will work fine but you will lose the valve compression when using alternate signal sources.

The Idea is to make some kind of modeled combo with existing gear where I can test different guitar SW.
Since I need an interface for a mic, I Will try this solution.

You could use a cheapo 2 channel mixer on the input.
Even a couple of pots and a couple of resistors to mix the signals.
