So I have an Adcom GCD-575 which skips:
- some CDs more than others
- more on earlier tracks (like 1, 2)
Cleaned the laser with alcohol, lubed the track and the rail, but this didn't help much.
Is there a way to adjust any settings (don't have a scope) and if so which and how, or should I just replace the KSS-150A?

After failing to make the GCD work with original parts, I replaced the laser assembly with an ebay KSA-150A. Worked liked a charm, no tuning was required. Obviously, do NOT forget to remove the safety link with a soldering iron.
