I'm trying to find someone that has used this op amp in their guitar amp.
It's specs are literally ten times greater than some of the higher end chips used in solid state amps. It exceeds them all.
It's not very cheap but considering it's slew rat is 140V/uS . The TL072 which is a common high performance chip is at a mere 16V/uS!!!!]
The bandiwdth difference is pretty much the same. Ten times more bandwidth from the AD825. I'm hoping someone will have some info on it for me in guitar amp use and maybe even a cheap supplier being most everywhere I can find it it is really pricey.

Yeah, i`ve used it a lot, only comes in smd single package expensive little sucker, but sounds better than any other opamp that i`ve used, great transient attack, very clean and grain free in the mids and treble (which is unusual for a chip thats got the transient attack of this one) and i`ts got a great meaty powerfull bass. (has output current of 80ma) (also near 0mv dc offset).
Cheers George
PS It likes to run with not less than 15v rails, and gains of not less than 4x (square waves can start to overshoot too much at unity or less than 4x gain)

I thank god for them, before them i could`nt find an opamp that was great with transients that did`nt sound brittle through the mids and highs, and i tried o lot of them, so i kept using the op275 which was at least smooth if a bit dead in the transient department.
I just wish they made them in the standard package as well as smd.
