My dad has upgraded and I have received his "old" Apogee Stages. They are from before when they were shipping them with the bass units.
Any ways, I have been scouring the internet in hopes that someone, somewhere, had made an active cross-over for them. Specifically, when it comes to bi-amping. I can easily find the original cross-over schematic of what's inside the speakers and some other after market variants.
But, I'd really like to go active on them.
If anyone has any links or resources in regards to this that'd be great.

I was thinking of using a couple of (Nelson Pass) B1 buffers to sandwich a passive 12dB RC filter with my Stages; or maybe a variation of this one with 2SK170BL JFET's and a crossover freq @ 600Hz

Hrmm... that sounds interesting. I know the original crossover was a 6db one which then tapered off into a 12db one. Or, maybe it was 6db on the low-pass and then 12db n the high-pass.
I wanted to biamp then and toss out that internal x-over.
I was maybe thinking of a tube based variant as well somewhere in there.

The original Stage crossover is a 12db/octave alignment with filter section Q's equal to approximately 0.4. The "seamless 6db tapering to 12db" was just Apogee marketing-speak for filter sections with the lower Q.

I have no knowledge of your system but I do have some strong opinions about feasible way to handle crossover. First, waste of effort to try to tinker with low-level crossovers - even on the odd occasion when theory and construction match, you still need to fudge a lot to make it sound right.
High road is to buy a $150 Behringer CX3400. Has all the controls and flexibility anybody could possibly want for almost any configuration you can think of. Amps are cheap and a lot of reasons to bi- or tri-amp.
Then you get a Radio Shack sound level meter and free plotting software and the Radio Shack correction curve. I use REW for the Mac. Waited 50 years to be able to plot so easily (except for the period when I had access to the Bell Labs anechoic chamber).
Then you tinker till you like it by ear.

Rich Murry at True Sound Works in Minden Nevada, does just that; rebuilds Apogee speakers and adds Pass Labs XVR-1 crossovers.
