Gave me a chuckle that one. 😀
I wonder if we could get Franck to come along and tune our listening room at diy2007?
No need. I can bring a few pairs of stocks and pritstik them to the walls. They'll be just as effective in combating room problems.
I'm very sceptical about these, but.....
they were being used in the DCS/VTL/verity room at the Manc show, and the guy (not David Stevens) swore they had a noticable effect. Not that that makes it true of course....

I'm sure his testimony had nothing to do with his healthy commission %.

Andy,
Yes, that's better. Thank you. I think one is a few mm different than before, but what's a few mm thousands of miles away between friends?

BEAK
Tuning pods that control resonances and allow for better driver integration.
Results in imaging and dynamic improvement.
I have heard speakers with these on... can't tell the damn difference!
they are just phase plugs. they make a difference when they are in the middle of the speaker but on the corners :/

I thought it was the Nanny filter's job to mind our language for us? Why blame him because someone was so worried about something as silly as an anagram of "carp" they completely overlooked a common euphemism for spooge?

Well, I think I did my job by bringing out new products that affect the audio market one way or another for frank discussions or what not !
Hey patchwork, where are you in Montreal ? I just got a bunch of guyz in my local auto club buying TA-10s if that is any comfort for the DIY community ...LoL

So let me get this straight, your responsible for these?
Don't you feel like a fraud?

Steve, you know the rules, and they haven't changed since the last time you got annoyed by them. 😉

... do we look like idiots or something?
I don't know how any of you look!!😉
In fact, I'm not sure I would know one if I met one, but there sure must be a lot of them out there, judging by the number of fundamentally idiotic products brought to the audio scene, - and elsewhere too, for that matter!

Once again the Emperor confidently strides in his vestment of vapor with a Shun Mook hocky puck in one hand, a smart chip cd harmonizer in his other and a silly, all knowing grin on his face! Yikes! what a bunch of saps we audio geeks are!
The sad thing is that dealers don't know any better. They should tell people selling that sort of thing to bog off because they don't want to sell fake stuff to their customers... but there we go! I know its all about making profit but it is unfair to the customers who don't know any better that the dealers (who should) even stock it and try to sell it to them.

Not to mention potentially taking away good business away from folks who offer legitimate and effective solutions such as yourself and other treatment manufacturers.
I'm also asking myself what the hell different does the platinum version offer over the basic bronze version? That should prove right there what the rub is on these. They're both ineffective and it just goes to show that this ex-jeweler and recently pronounced alternative acoustic treatment specialist is still clearly in the mindset of talking out of his finely crafted rings. The guy does see sound travelling through air though, so its no wonder we unenlightened can't understand this and nor can the decades of proven science.
