Hi All,
I am looking for a good quality acoustic guitar two-channel preamp schematic. I would like to get a well-designed, quality and tested preamp schematic.
There are several ones available but no guarantee they are good either tested.
I appreciate you taking the minute to advise me on the issue and giving appropriate links!
Thank you!

Oh. I thought you were planning a small preamp for inside the guitar.

perhaps you could expand on what you want to do. What will this preamp plug into? How will it be used? If you want to use one channel for guitar and one for vocals(???), that is one thing, but if you want a dual pickup for the guitar, say a piezo pickup and a microphone as well, that is a different story.

Is this in the context of a solo performer? Or in a group? Is this to be used with headphones? Is this to be connected to a PA system? And if so, who runs the PA< you? Or a sound man sitting elsewhere?

Some small acts are happy with one or two powered speakers on poles, and if that is you, would you run thos to that? If so, are you tied to the plan, as in already have all the rest? Otherwise we might wonder why not just use the mixer that is already part of many powered mixers. That would allow one of many successful on-board guitar preamps and just a plain old mic line for vocals.

Same if you are part of a group or operating into a larger PA system. Why not just take up two channels on the existing PA.

But that aside, as a starting point, you might just consider the commercial products already out there as clone material. Most major guitar amp makers make "acoustic" models, and it would be simple enough to steal the circuits from them. There is your well engineered and tested.

Hi,

I am building DIY acoustic combo amplifier and such a gear always requires and thus is equipped with 2-3 channel preamp, some large models are equipped even with 6-8 channels.... like SR Technology or Schertler combos....
I have installed on my guitar three different pickups of mic / K&K-SBT / sound-hole, so by using two guitar cables (stereo and mono) I could run these three pickups into those two inputs ..... etc. etc. additional input gives some more flexibility ...

By the way, my Fishman replica pickup has not built-in mic/magnetic blender, I run them in stereo, so, I am looking for such a simple blender schematic as well, any thoughts?

Sure, I would have more channels if building such a schematics will not cost itself more than buying hardware.... any schematics of 4-6 channel mixers (good & tested) ? Thank you!

Probably a lot more sophisticated than you need but it may give you some ideas.

Cheers,
Ian

Hi Ian,

Thank you for your note! I have Acoustasonic amps' schematics and I like the sound of these amps, the preamp stage is easy to build but I am looking for something smaller and simpler. Perhaps, I will try it anyway after the combo-amplifier is done...
