Hi guys, just purchased an accuphase c200, I love the sound but it is not quite what I was expecting. Maybe my expectations are the problem!
Anyway I open it up to see if any caps leaking etc and everything looks great except the power supply board. I have attached pics.
I am particularly interested in whether the resistors I have taken close pics of are the culprit for things being just a tad off (not quite as transparent as I'd like or expect). I have orders a capacitor kit for it and intend to replace the electrolytic but should i be looking at these resistors too?

I'd measure all the resistors first, but that cracked one should go for sure.
Replace only if they are out of tolerance. And clean the plug-in contacts on the pcb.

Does nor look like caps need changing either...let it play a few days, might be the caps need reforming, which they will in a few days, if the unit was left in storage.

Yes, if the unit has not been in recent use, burn it in for a week or so, and the electrolytic capacitors
in the power supply will work better. Same goes for the new capacitors that you ordered, since they
have likely been on the shelf for a year or more.

Having measured with a meter, all is measuring according to spec. I will take your advice and see how it goes. Thanks very much!
Odds are higher that the board could be damaged from desoldering, than
the resistors are at fault (other than the one with the cracked coating).

A lovely classic but very remote soundwise from a contemporary minimalist design. Myriad of switches, coupling caps, poor termination, poor volume pots. Strictly for collectors and fans.
This is a very old amplifier, 45+ years, but the parts are very durable.
Please remove pcb components only if necessary. Copper of the solder
lugs on these boards will evaporate when soldering, a known issue here.

You could spray all the contacts, like switches, pots and selectors after flushing with iso alcohol, a half filled syringe works (fill the rest with air!), let the alcohol drain and dry.
Then use a good quality contact cleaner.
And think that this is a fragile item, do not mess with it, do only needed work.
