ACA inpout impedance

I'm getting ready to start the build on my ACA and would like to increase the input impedance to 50K. Can it be done without making the amp unstable? Which resistor should I change?

I'd also like to not use the LED, can it simply be omitted or must something else be put in it's place.

Why do you want to change the input impedance?

Yes, you may omit the LED.

I'll be using a tube preamp w/ 4K output impedance for awhile.
