I would be interested to see more investment in this type of technology for small homes too.

One of the key technology demonstrations in automotive audio at CES 2020 was promoted by Continental and audio specialist Sennheiser. The two German companies presented a "speakerless" audio system for the vehicle interior, which Sennheiser claims is able to generate immersive audio by exciting surfaces inside the vehicle to produce sound.

Vibrating all the surfaces in the car sound like a great idea for making thing break.
Like the interior of a 150+dB bass head build.

I posted this on another thread. According to a video on YouTube tdk is working on getting the technology approved for vehicle use.
It’s tempting to use the side and front window as transducer but every one outside of the car will hear it as clear as one self.
Like the interior of a 150+dB bass head build.

Nothing new about "sound actuators", also known as tactile transducers or sound exciters. I recall first hearing some back in the 1970s.
