Put three diodes in series and one reversed across the three. In series with your AC line this can either increase or decrease any DC offset. A simple test.
scottjoplin; yes, it would be easy to change with a cheater plug, however this unit has worked fine previously in the same configuration/system.
simon7000; I think I see the idea. If there is an existing offset, one way you nullify the measured offset. the other orientation of the diodes you could add to the offset, right?
