check out post #51 and #52 aboutthe klout is discrete. transistors everywhere. got no schematic tough

It appears that anyone with an overture chipamp, good layout topology and an output resistor between the chipamp and feedback is guaranteed to have a LINN amp up to the 25 watt range where the current boosters kick in.
Those are far and away the most important watts delivered.

I agree about the importance of the first 25W.
But when it comes to current peaks, the chips not just don't deliver, but it seems they need to cool down to come back to top low level quality (as if repeated high current peaks would mess up the crossover, probably due to heating). The power transistors help there, as well as right cooling (including a piece of copper on the top of the chip). And you need a good power supply as well, aeven is the PSSR of the chips is really good.
Last, be careful about layout, I have had a few TDA7293 exploding because of instability (and when I say exploding, I really mean it). Lines need to be short, and layout loop with the sensing resistors, the IC and the transistor should be as small as possible.

Who have heard this model against LK2-80 with Spark? Some measurements of the Klimax:
SoundStage! Measurements - Linn Klimax Twin Stereo Amplifier (8/2003)
There's a recent Linn Klimax Chakra 500 twin.
And the top Klimax 500 Solo (with Sanken transistors), sounds very good indeed, I've heard it.
Switching PSUs to a good effect. 😎
