For an amplifier to use these it would have to be a very low powered one.

There's no point in using a regulator that's adding noise to the B+, IME a well designed one shouldn't. Quite to the contrary.
What voltages and currents are you looking for?
Series or shunt regs? How "accurate" do you want it to be?
