AARON Loudspeakers

Arron has been around for quite some time, My only contact was at a local Greater Union Cinema, they were the surround speakers before the cinema was "upgraded" for Digital Sound. They were replaced by Krix, believe it or not the sound of the cinema went from wonderful with the Aaron, to average with the Krix. It demonstrated to me exactly how important the quality of surrounds are in a cinema system. After all these speakers point directly into the ears of the audience.
It also showed me that Arron make a quality product.

Hi,

Seems most people I speak to think they are totally crap.

🙂

Well perhaps they are, I can't comment as I havent heard of them for years , alot has happened over the last 20 years since they supplied GU.
Personally what I was shocked by was how noticable the drop in quality was with the introduction of the Krix replacements (for what was the new Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. They were advertising it as an upgrade! it was my last visit to that cinema). Before that I would drive out of my way to see all the movies there.🙁 simply because of the once great sound

Aaron are your normal bulk HiFi series.. mostly cheaper asian drivers, boxes are ordinary bulk made and finished, nothing special there, cheap x-o components etc. They are reasonable speakers for the price, but nothing outstanding by any means. Probably the next step up from stuff that JB Hifi sell.

Far better to do something DIY for the same or less money!!

Also note the absence of any frequency curves on their web site (that I could find anyway)
