I am trying to take apart a a150x1 monitor, and am wondering if anyone has done so before.
The actual monitor input is preventing me from pulling the LCD components out of the casing, if anyone else has had experience with this, please post what you did to get the assembly out.
I'm thinking of carefully cutting a hole around the input so that it will slide up and out, but suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I've already E-mailed one person, but anyone else who's taken one apart would be great, as I read someone severed a short cable at the bottom, and I am wondering how to avoid ruining my monitor.

Well, I acctually got a reply from tonydean, and worked out what I was doing wrong, sorry for posting! 🙄
I'm a little worried by people saying this is a bad monitor for a OHP, although it looks possible, you just need to switch one cable.
Once I get a little further, I'll start posting pictures.

do a search for a150x1 or CMV1512 or 1515 or liquidvideo etc. you will find posts that discribe how to dissasemble the monitor and set it up on OHP. also some screen shots.
a150x1 is the best LCD I have tried. It is very easy to work with, and it is more transparent than other LCD, meaning you have hight light output giving same light source.

Well, I got the LCD apart, and on the projector, even got a nice looking picture going, however, it suddenly stopped working. I checked all the contacts and they appear to be okay, any ideas as to what might have gone wrong?
I suspected the little FCC cord on this monitor, as it's kind of small, but it looks to be okay, the monitor is getting a signal and such, just no image or anything whatsoever on the screen.
Not heat either, as I'm cooling it with a few PC case fans.

Well, I've tried playing around with it for around 2 days now, still no luck.
Getting a nice Green LED on the front, just so signal whatsoever to the actual TFT.
I'm about to declare it dead, as I have no idea what else to do., I've checked every connection at least 100 times....
I did plug in the backlight, and it will turn on and off spasmatically.
Would this indicate a PSU problem?
Or, should I go ahead and declare the monitor dead?
