So, would it possible to use the AC1 to control the input / output selector modules and drive the LCD display, but instead of controlling the Joshua Tree, one could use another volume module that needs as input something that behaves as a 10k pot? The uses could be a cheaper volume control if one didn't want to use the JT, as well as an interface into other 3rd party volume controls, such as this one:

I actually have all the boards and parts sitting here, but have no time to build one just yet (thanks the Buffalo!). We still need to write the code as well. I hope to have one built next week.

I guess it goes without saying that placing JT2's between IVY's and Sympatico would be perfect with the standard resistor values? I am going to use dual OPUS/IVY's for balanced operation and the LM4562 will have no problemo with the variabel load?
Hoping Brian get to build my stuff soon, looking forward to start building. 😉

Yes from IVY to the JT2 with stock values would work very well into Sympatico. 🙂

I think I read somewhere that you stated that the AC1 could be used to software control OPUS. I guess that would require some logic between either the I2C-bus or the EXT-IO on AC1 and the OPUS?
Could the same be done with the Metronome?

1) It sure can. 🙂 I use Opus that way for one of my headphone DACs.
2) Yes, for the WM8740 version of Opus you would need to output SPI. For the current WM8741 version of Opus you could just use 3.3V I2C (easiest) or SPI, your choice.
3) No, because the SRC4192 is hardware control only. Another board would have to be done to support the SRC4193 to allow software control.

thanks! I was just curious if you knew about the HD44780, as I cannot find anywhere in the manual or the site that specifies anything other than "LCD compatible", so I was curious... I e-mailed them, but never heard back 🙁
