I have a low-powered (15 WPC) receiver that uses SK 2SC1826 and 2SA768 output devices that are bad. I have another amp that uses SK 2SC5100 and 2SA1908 output devices (50 WPC).
Now the question. Can I install the output transistors from the higher-powered amp in to the receiver without much modification. I realize this can be difficult to answer without a schematic or specs. I guess a more general question is can a 2SYXXXX directly replace on of equal or lesser value?

cross reference both devices to ECG devices and compare the specs. Be sure to match the beta Hfe value, voltage shouldn't be a problem. I don't think you should have any major problems here.😀
