Acheived some progress on the GC. Full post with all details in maybe a month or two. Here is just a taste........ Highlights: LM3886 w/ 500VA toroid (2 LEDs not connected). Old broken Kyocera CD301 gutted for the case and added new faceplate. Sitting on Post-Its because transformer bolt extends to below the feet. Many fixes yet to come, including remaking of rosewood side panels, faceplate connectors on top, differential input circuit board.
Today is 1st day of listening so I thought I'd post.

Tube Amp
Nothing like staying on topic, but since you asked....
The tube amp? Its not a DIY, its an Antique Sound Lab MGSi 15DT . The older version (newer version has a bias meter). Its 15 watts or 5 watts switchable via a switch (of course).

Its for sale for $425 US if anyone wants it. I think it ran about $750 new. One RCA plug is a little loose but that's the only known problem. Paypal preferred method of payment.
