A poor mans CD/DVD/USB transport with high quailty SPDIF out
SPDIF output from Aldi Vivid DVD/USB Combo player (Mediatek MT1389DE) - Shady Tree Projects
I haven't noticed any of the supposed copyright protecting sound crippling stuff that one other poster on diyaudio has mentioned comes from this chip. Infact it sounds almost as good as my Pioneer DV-344.
Its totally awesome man.
