I was previously in error. I looked it up and the drivers
were made by Guide-Sound in Guang-Dong. The model
is UR330B8-11F. The magnet is quite real - the speaker
weighs just under 12 kilograms.
I got 10 of them last May - shows you how long it takes for
me to get around to my toys...
When I have a little more time I'll mount them back up.

Here is the link for Gui-De Sound. Can't find UR330B8-11F though...

I did not find this on their website. Where are you guys looking? 🙁
Anybody know the price for, oh, say 2 units...

Gui made these drivers OEM for Soucharm, maybe exclusively, so trade secret is on the line.
Soucharm price is very low, as 1980 Yuans are 305 US dollars, But it is each or pair ??
Anyone knows what is the effect the magnet case may give to the performance??
As there is some Alnico FRs, as Hemp Omega, that use an open magnet case.

The RMB1980 price is for each.

Man, that is good stuff! How do I buy this?
May be contact Gui-De directly, I don't think the Taobao vendors ship overseas.

Nelson,
Any update on these drivers?
Also, for all asking how to get those, quite simply:
- Go to China
- Enter a Bank of China branch and open an account
- Activate online shopping for your account
- Buy on Taobao (use Google Chrome, it automatically translate in English)
- Put the drivers in your carry on luggage
- Go back home
In the mean time, you may want to visit a bit. China is a great country, with lots to see 🙂
Alternatively, Singapore has a shop on Upper Cross street who sells those (a bit more expensive)

Figured I would jump on here and revive this thread, to see if anyone has any successful designs using this driver. I grabbed a pair during the Burning Amp 2018 raffle, and would like to build something nice with them 🙂
I posted a thread for ideas here- Aucharm UR330B8-11F full range 12" cabinet ideas? but haven't yet found something solid to do with them.

Define 'solid' because there seems to be few there. Note that you can't cheat Mother Nature WRT speaker design/performance, so Hoffman's Iron Law is in full affect: TA Speaker Topics: Loudspeaker Design Tradeoffs

Mainly I'm looking for someone who has used this particular driver in a specific design, I suppose. I'm leaning towards an open-bottom cabinet, with a heavily damped/lined upper half. Probably 16x20x48~60 or similar, with driver centered around 36~39" from the floor.
OK, though FWIW, all [T/S] cab alignment math peters out at the driver's effective upper mass corner: Fhm = 2*Fs/Qts'
Qts' = Qts + any added series resistance [Rs]: mh-audio.nl - Home
In general then with the exception of compression horns, non optimal damping and the room's impact on it, the cab normally doesn't have any real influence over a driver's response other than to provide a 'fullness'/'bottom' to the signal and why I don't pay much attention to the alignment per se whether just a sim or actual build; instead judging strictly on its performance below the driver's [Fhm] as to whether it meets the needs of the app or not.

Looking at the pdf linked by zen mod, I see it's a relatively large Vas driver, reminding me of my Audio Nirvana full range driver. It has a decent Qts and so might work well in an open baffle, or 'boffle'. Of course, driven by your 6SN7 push-pull amplifier.
It's a purdy looking driver.

I'm thinking of trying a 28x15 baffle with legs to get the center of the driver at ear height, but I'm not sure the girl will go for it!
