So sometime This Summer I think I will be getting a LCD monitor and going that way insted of the OHP panel. Now that said, The attacted pic is of a OHP I currently have, as you can see the corners are rounded, Not a problem for widescreen movies but I think will be a prob if I try and use it as my computer monitor. So my question is this, when I do go the LCD monitor rout Im planning on retrofitting with a DE HQI metal halide, prob 250 watt, so Im thinking do older OHP's still have this rounded corner problem? and If so how does one correct this, Buy a replacement fresnel that fits the space but without the rounded corners? If older OHP's dont have this rounding problemI would think It would make more sence to buy a cheapppppp old one, mabe even broke off ebay to retrofit, any thoughts I would appreciate them.

I have the Apollo Concept 2250 and it looks like yours. The rounded corners are on the staging glass which is not part of the fresnel and is removable. Take it out and take it to a glass cutter and get yourself a similar piece without the corners rounded out with the black paint.

Ok just took It apart to see what was up and the actual glass had plastic below it so I would have to do some Cutting of the Plastic. Oh well mabe I might just buy a cheapo one to mess with when that time comes.
